The New RLM Cloud Is Here
One platform. Faster updates. The same license servers you already trust.
A refresh built on what already works
RLM Cloud has a new management interface, but the licensing platform you’ve been using hasn’t changed. Your license servers continue running exactly as they do today. What’s new is the management experience: a redesigned portal, faster delivery of new features, and a single place to manage your RLM Cloud environment.
If you’ve used RLM Cloud before, you’ll feel at home right away. The interface has been refreshed, but the overall organization and workflows remain familiar. This isn’t a completely new product. It’s a better version of the one you already know.

A unified platform
The new portal will be your central hub for everything RLM: RLM Cloud, Activation Pro, Publisher Resources, and Support.
Faster improvements
We’ve modernized the underlying framework so we can deliver new features, enhancements, and fixes more quickly than before.
User-based licensing
ID Licensing is now included with every RLM Cloud account. Assign licenses directly to individual users instead of relying on shared credentials, making access easier to manage and more secure.
Simpler bundles
Multi-license product definitions are now called ‘Bundles’. Existing products are migrated automatically, and creating new bundles is as simple as selecting the components you want to include.
Scheduled reporting
Generate reports automatically and have them delivered by email on a schedule. Full report data is also available for download through both the portal and the API.
Stay informed
The new notification center gives Reprise a direct way to communicate important platform updates, maintenance information, and security notifications.
What Migration Looks Like
For most customers, there’s nothing to do before migration. The only exception is if you’re using the REST API or Web Services API without secret-key authentication. In that case, you’ll need to update your authentication before migration to avoid interrupting your connection.
If your organization has portal users, it’s also a good idea to let them know they’ll receive a welcome email inviting them to access the new portal. Before migration, you’ll receive a welcome email as well, allowing you to create or reset your password.
Once your migration is complete, there are no additional steps required. The migration webinar and documentation cover everything you’ll need, and our team is available if questions come up along the way.
During migration:
- Migration is scheduled during off-hours to minimize disruption.
- The management portal will be temporarily unavailable while the migration takes place.
- Your license servers continue running normally throughout the migration. Licensing operations are unaffected because the license servers run independently of the management portal.
- All products, licenses, bundles, servers, users, logs, reports, and historical data are migrated automatically.
- If migration can’t be completed successfully, we’ll restore the existing management portal and schedule a new migration window. Your licensing environment is never at risk.
Other than using a new portal URL after migration, most customers will notice very little change during the transition.
Familiar, with a Better Workflow
Here are a few of the improvements you’ll notice immediately:
› RLM Cloud
Add servers using a meaningful display name instead of a generated identifier. Associating a customer is now optional during setup, and servers can be created directly from the RLM Cloud tab or through the Customer workflow.
› Products
License options are presented individually, matching the Activation Pro experience and eliminating the need for manual entry. Existing multi-license products are automatically migrated to Bundles.
› Logs & Reports
The former Licenses tab has been integrated into Logs & Reports. License reports are searchable, reports can be scheduled for email delivery, and complete log data is available for download through both the portal and the API.
› Licenses
Create licenses directly from a Bundle, search license definitions more easily, and override license version or expiration when needed.
› ISV Users
Add a user with only an email address and access level. They’ll automatically receive a confirmation email.
› End Users
Creating a contact only requires an email address. Portal access and ID Licensing access can each be enabled with a simple toggle.
Why This Matters
Most organizations don’t want to change their licensing infrastructure unless they have a good reason. This update doesn’t ask you to.
The license servers you’ve relied on remain the same. What improves is everything around them: a more intuitive management experience, stronger identity-based licensing, less manual administration, improved performance, enhanced security, and a platform that allows us to deliver new capabilities more quickly.
It’s the same trusted RLM Cloud foundation, just easier to manage today and better positioned for what comes next.
