Since RLMCloud uses standard RLM license servers, you can make the decision to deploy license servers to your customers in the RLMCloud or on-premesis. Make this choice on a customer-by-customer basis. Or do all your evaluations using RLMCLoud-based license servers and deploy all products on-premesis, or any combination - whatever makes most business sense for you and your customers.
When we say "Policy in the License", we mean it. The only change you make to use RLMCloud is in the license file, where you use a CUSTOMER line in place of SERVER and HOST lines from an on-premesis license file.

License Logs Under Your Control

RLMCloud includes a customer portal so that your customers have visibility into their license servers. A subset of the functionality in the built-in on-premesis RLM web interface, this portal allows your customers to view current license server status as well as users of licenses, view and download server log files, and edit license server options.
How RLMCloud Works
- Setup: define the types of licenses to be delivered to your customers, typically trial, permanent node-locked, and permanent floating. (If you are familiar with RLM Activation Pro, this setup process is nearly identical.)
- Upon purchase, add the customer to your RLMCloud database, and provision a license server for them.
- Create the licenses your customer purchased.
- Push the licenses to the server machine in the RLM Cloud and tell the server to reread the licenses. The server is now ready for your customer to use.
- Using the RLMCloud dashboard, you can see the status of all your customer's servers in one place.
